The uniqueness of the insectPRO prokopack aspirator is in reduction of time required for field sampling of insects. The aspirator runs with 4 to12v battery. The unit has an electronic controller that helps with reverse blowing option and a speed controller. The speed control that effects in controlling damages inflicted on the insect collections by setting up the unit at a desired suction pressure. While the reverse blow option helps in blowing out the collections on to the light weight cage provided with the unit. The complete insectPRO Prokopack Aspirator unit is attached to an extendable telescopic aluminium pole to reach up to 10ft height or length. The opening of the aspirator orifice is 80mm or 8cm which makes field collections of mosquitoes very fast and quick. The aspirator has power to pull flying insects and from a small crevices or tiny spaces. Since the insectPRO simple Prokopack aspirator is attached to a telescopic pole it can easily reachable to difficult reach collection areas like bushes, tree holes, mud water, swampy soils, deep water tanks, agriculture fields, and water ponds etc.
Features:
- The aspirator has improvements like fan speed control and reverse blowing both will improve the collection experience by reducing damages to the insects while collecting and avoid carrying multiple collection bottles to handle the samples - This feature is not available in this model. This is available in advanced model.
- The collection containers are used while doing mosquito / insects sampling.
- The cages are very light in weight and are suitable to hold around 1000 mosquitoes
- Save lots of time during field collections as aspirator mouth is 80mm or 8cm. Swinging the aspirator randomly at the insect dense places do all the collections. This way bulk collections possible. A single 4-5 sec sucking can lift hundreds of insects a time
- No need for technical expertise to collect insects or mosquitoes. Any one can operate since the design is so simple that plug the battery power and target the insects to do sampling
- Randomly collect a group of insects which can be either placed in cups or cages. Replaceable cups helps to do location or object specific insects into different containers. All the containers comes with printed labels on top of the cups for recording the location/project specific information and remarks for easy future reference. Which can be wiped off using alcohol to reuse the cups
- Conduct field surveys with only 10% of the time compared to mouth aspirator collections. Tremendously save time hence increases field collection efficiency and reduces loss of samples
- Possible to collect insects from crevices and difficult-to-reach areas. Since the unit operates with 12v battery, it helps to suck the insects from difficult to reach areas. Without this instruments usually those precious insect samples might not have been collectable hence missing the sampling opportunity
- Collect insects from dirty water, running sewage, corners or ceilings, and sitting insects from animals or even flying insects from mid-air.
- Collect from septic tanks, deep water tanks, deep water palaces, and rooftops with up to 13ft distance reachability.
- Complete or cover 80% more field sites of mosquitoes or insects with the same time that is being used to collect insects from a single site.
