4F-MC-B Series
The 4F-MC-B Series insect cages are precision-engineered enclosures designed for rearing whiteflies, thrips, and other similarly sized insects in laboratory and controlled-environment settings. This series combines ultra-fine black mesh on most sides with one clear observation panel, offering both secure containment and unobstructed visibility.
In this naming convention:
4F indicates fine mesh (typically 150–300 µm), ideal for small insect control
MC signifies a mesh and clear panel combination for optimal ventilation and visual access
B refers to the black mesh, which provides contrast for observing pale or translucent insects more easily
Each cage includes a large front sleeve opening, ensuring safe access for insect handling, feeding, or sample collection. The external fiberglass or aluminum frame ensures strength while preventing internal hiding zones, making cleaning and observation more efficient.
These cages are frequently used in:
Whitefly vector transmission studies
Aphid and thrips rearing protocols
Pesticide resistance bioassays
Plant-insect interaction experiments
The collapsible design makes them highly portable and easy to store or ship, making them a favorite in greenhouses, academic labs, and field research units across Africa, Asia, and other regions where whitefly management is critical.
