Travelling Microscope VM-2B - ALMICRO
The ALMICRO VM-2B Deluxe Travelling Microscope is an advanced three-axis precision measurement instrument designed for high-accuracy laboratory measurements involving horizontal, vertical, and right-angled transverse motion. Compared to the VM-1, which supports two-axis linear measurement, the VM-2B adds right-angle transverse movement, making it ideal for more complex dimensional and alignment experiments in physics and metrology laboratories.
Equipped with a rack-and-pinion smooth motion mechanism, the VM-2B allows precise and controlled travel of the microscope body. The system supports horizontal travel up to 20 cm, vertical travel up to 15 cm, and an additional 25 mm right-angled transverse movement, enabling accurate measurement in multiple directions without repositioning the specimen.
Supplied with achromatic optics and cross-hair eyepiece, the VM-2B ensures clear observation and precise reading of scales, edges, and reference points. The entire instrument is securely housed in a protective wooden box, making it suitable for institutional use and long-term durability.
How VM-2B differs from VM-1
VM-1: Two-axis measurement (horizontal & vertical)
VM-2B: Three-axis measurement (horizontal, vertical & right-angled transverse)
VM-2B enables complex alignment and perpendicular measurements
VM-2B is better suited for advanced physics & metrology experiments
Both models retain manual precision control and educational focus
Key Highlights
Three-axis measurement capability
Smooth rack & pinion controlled motion
Horizontal travel: 20 cm
Vertical travel: 15 cm
Right-angle transverse travel: 25 mm
Achromatic 2× objective (FL-50 mm)
10× eyepiece with cross-hair
Supplied in protective wooden box
Ideal for:
Advanced physics laboratories, engineering colleges, metrology training programs, optical alignment studies, and precision dimensional experiments requiring multi-directional measurement.
