The ALMICRO VM-1 Travelling Microscope is a precision linear measurement instrument designed for physics laboratories, metrology training, and educational institutions. Unlike the KW-900 Tool Maker Microscope, which is optimized for industrial component inspection and angular measurement, the VM-1 is specifically intended for accurate displacement, length, and vernier-based measurements in laboratory experiments.

Built on a heavy cast-iron base with a machined vee-top surface, the VM-1 ensures excellent stability and smooth travel. The microscope travels horizontally up to 22 cm and vertically up to 15 cm using precision slides, while dual slow-motion knobs enable fine positioning for accurate readings. With vernier least count of 0.01 mm or 0.02 mm, the VM-1 delivers reliable measurement accuracy essential for optical and mechanical experiments.

A milky cenolite working surface allows clear placement of samples, scales, or objects, and the system is supplied with cross-hair eyepiece optics for precise alignment and reading.
