The STB III Stereo Microscope builds upon the basic DM I dissecting model by adding true binocular viewing and integrated dual illumination for clearer, more comfortable three-dimensional observation. While the DM I uses a simple mirror and single viewing path, the STB III features an inclined binocular head that reduces eye strain and improves depth perception during long dissection or inspection tasks.
Its solid, heavy base with built-in rack-and-pinion focusing provides stable, precise specimen adjustment, and the dual incident and transmitted illumination allows both surface and transmitted light studies without external accessories. A rotating objective turret offering 2× and 4× magnification, combined with paired WF10× eyepieces, delivers 20× and 40× total magnification for detailed stereo viewing of biological samples, small components, and fine structures.
Designed for education, biology labs, and routine inspection work, the STB III offers brighter illumination, binocular comfort, and improved 3D clarity compared to the entry-level DM I dissecting microscope.
