The KG-3 Junior Microscope (ISI Marked) is an upgraded student laboratory microscope featuring a monocular straight viewing tube, achromatic 10× and 40× (S/L) objectives, and separate coarse and fine focusing knobs for accurate and comfortable observation. It is built on a sturdy fixed stage (110 × 110 mm) with clips and uses a traditional plano-concave mirror for dependable illumination without external power.
Compared to the KG-2 model, the KG-3 adds a key advantage with its focusable Abbe condenser (NA 1.25) with iris diaphragm, allowing precise control of light and contrast for sharper, better-defined images. While both models share the same optical magnification range and rugged classroom-friendly design, the adjustable condenser in KG-3 makes it more suitable for detailed specimen study and improved image clarity in advanced student and lab use.
