The spherical design of entoWIZ entoballs provides a complete 360-degree view of the pinned insects, allowing viewers to observe the insect from all angles. This comprehensive perspective can be especially beneficial for researchers and educators to specifically point out the specific portions of the insects for studying and observing. Furthermore, these entoballs can be used to store insects. Various sizes of ento balls are available for various purposes. These entoballs can be used under stereomicroscopes to get a perfect view of the desired insect. Also, to get a perfect photo of the insect.
The Entoball is a 25-30 mm wooden ball hollowed out to hold a 12 mm disc of 25ID hardness Plastazote. Five bases are available, 8 mm, 16 mm, 32 mm, 48 mm (with cut-out) and 64 mm high. These various bases are specifically considered to meet all different kinds of needs while getting a perfect view of an insect. Few of the insects are of bigger in size and others are in smaller size. So, the height of the base, for example, 10mm might be too small that it can't get a perfect view of the insect as the difference of the height between the base of the stereomicroscope and the lens is higher than required.
