The cage is made from Econylon mesh 680 µm), which provides excellent ventilation, while the floor is solid (not mesh) for added stability.

The 18 cm front sleeve opening allows for easy access to insects and food replacement, making it ideal for both temporary housing and research purposes. A thin strip sewn across the ceiling provides a convenient spot to suspend feeders or other objects.

The external aluminum framework ensures the cage is lightweight and easy to assemble using plastic connectors, with no hidden spaces inside for insects. The mesh is securely sewn to the frame to ensure stability during handling or movement.

Dipping them into any suitable mild soap followed by dipping in a mild 0.1% bleach solution, may be sodium hypochloride solution and shade dry is sufficient for maintenance. 3 rinses with lab water or RO water is necessary to remove residues of the bleach.
